The Truth is that Franklin County Can NOT Sustain Itself without hand outs and GRANTS
There.... that's the reality, we must increase our tax base
I suggest that we use as many grants as possible right now, those that SICOG help obtain and other grants. Any resident that can find grant money out side of using SICOG and the state of Idaho receives a finder's fee of 2.5%, that's what we pay SICOG. All non-high-producing employees let go. Remaining employees wear double and triple hats, covering several jobs if plausible. We can 1099 contract individuals to add many benefiting addons to departments if this pencils out.
Adding 4 full time EMT's that additionally wear double hats making a livable wage.
Change must happen and we will still have farmland and rural areas if the owners decide to farm. What are the other alternatives? I'll list a few.
